WE’RE OFFICIALLY AWARD-WINNING!

Updated: Jun 1, 2023

The Audience team took a trip up to Newcastle earlier this month to attend the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber finals of the StartUp Awards 2023, where we had been shortlisted for not one, but TWO awards.

After an evening filled with some tasty food, great networking and plenty of free-flowing drinks (who doesn’t love a free bar? 🍻) we were officially announced as the winners of the prestigious Leeds StartUp of the Year award!

Our Creative Director, Chloe Byrne, said: “I am extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded Leeds StartUp of the Year at the SUA2023! This month marks two years of Audience – having started the business with backing from Tim Whitworth, we have grown from strength to strength.

“As a small business, we have maintained a great client base and expanded our service range to gain brilliant momentum within the marketing industry, and to be recognised for such an award is a fantastic feeling. I want to congratulate our brilliant team on this award and all of their achievements in the last years – I am wholeheartedly excited for the future of Audience.”

The StartUp Awards were established in 2022 to highlight the success of startups across nine UK nations and regions, and to celebrate the achievements of entrepreneurs in all sectors of the economy.

The North East, Yorkshire and the Humber final was held at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle and saw 33 different awards given out to new and innovative businesses.

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, creator of the awards, said: “In the second year of the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber Startup Awards, we have seen yet again the incredible contribution of new businesses to job creation, innovation, and prosperity across the whole of this entrepreneurial nation.

“It’s been an honour and a pleasure to read the stories of those individuals from across North East, Yorkshire and the Humber who have spotted the opportunity and taken the risk to launch their own venture, especially at a time when the economy is still fragile after the Covid pandemic.”
