CASE STUDY: LOCAL FISH & CHIP SHOP

THE WHAT

We’d been working with The Bearded Sailor for a few months when owner Alex approached us with a dream: he wanted to host an event at the fish and chip shop with the sole (see what we did there 😉) purpose of raising money for a local charity. The goal for the day was to raise as much money as possible for Candlelighters whilst increasing local awareness of the shop

THE HOW

To drive as much buzz as possible around the event, we created a two-pronged approach and combined local PR outreach with an in-depth paid and organic social strategy. We geo-targeted the area around the fish and chip shop, ensuring everyone within the area code knew the event was taking place – and they did! There were queues down the street all day, despite the wet Yorkshire weather and overall they raised a whopping £1,400 for charity
